Colophon
A portfolio that argues for care in systems has to survive being read as one. Here is what this site is made of, and the rules it holds itself to.
- Type
- Archivo at expanded width for display, IBM Plex Sans for text, IBM Plex Mono for anything measured. Not Inter and not Geist, both of which now read as the default choice.
- Colour
- Paper and ink, with ultramarine as the single working accent. Green, amber and red mean ok, degraded and failed — and mean nothing else, anywhere.
- The instrument
- The provisioning panel stays dark in both themes. A device has a screen; the page around it is paper.
- Motion
- Nothing animates unless it is reporting a state change. The chart draws because a run is happening. Reduced motion renders the finished state immediately.
- Numbers
- Every figure here comes from something measurable: a measurement file in the Steadhold repository, or Apple's App Store data. No statistic appears without a source I can hand you.
- Build
- Next.js 16 with the App Router, React 19, every page prerendered as static HTML. No CSS framework, no component library, and no analytics that needs a cookie banner.
